St Michael's Catholic Secondary School Truro is an independent co-educational day school that is currently in transition to become a NEW STATE FUNDED FREE SCHOOL ACADEMYSt Michael's is the only Catholic secondary school in Cornwall and is currently in the PRE OPENING STAGES for the NEW SCHOOL which will open September 2012.

The New St Michael's  will continue the provision of an excellent Catholic education to pupils from across mid and west Cornwall: where every pupil is able to flourish; both academically and personally.The agreed New School site is the Old County Grammar School, Trevu Rd, Camborne.

The success of St Michael's is due to its highly qualified and committed teaching staff, smaller class size and caring family Christian ethos.

The Consultation period for the New School is 14th March - 15th April 2012.
