St Michael's has become the first School in Cornwall to win funding from the AstraZeneca Science Teaching Trust to run an Innovative Transition project with it local primary schools. The substantial funding of £14 000 will enable pupils to gain valuable experience using the latest handheld technology to carry out their own scientific research. The aim is to encourage the next generation of Cornish innovators and scientists, as well as encourage collaboration between primary and secondary science teachers and pupils.
